Bhogawati Shikshan Prasarak Mandal established its vision to develop the rural and hilly region of Bhogawati river basin educationally. With this dream the Mandal established the different units of pre-primary school to undergraduate and post graduate classes. The campus of the institute today dwells with pre-primary, middle school, Junior college, MCVC, Degree college and Post-graduate college.

Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, an educational institution has a vision to bring higher education at the threshold of the students from rural and hilly area of the Bhogawati basin. Today the collage has reached its destination. The college started with 71 students in 1971 and now the strength of the students of the college has reached up to 5000. As it is co-education institute, it is tremendously in bringing the higher education to girls also. The college opened with four girls but now the strength of the girl students is near to equal with the boys students. This was the vision of the founders of the institution to empower rural women through education. The development of the college is remarkable today. The college has achieved ‘A’ grade from NAAC Bangalore in the Third Cycle Reaccreditation. The college runs now four faculties viz. B.A., B. Com., B. Sc. and B. Voc..  Our teaching staff is fully qualified. Number of teachers in our college are Ph. D. holders. Today out of 32 regular teachers 20 teachers are awarded Ph. D. degree in their respective subjects. Other remaining are also pursuing Ph. D. research. The development of the college is not only quantitatively but qualitatively. Academically the college has achieved remarkable status. Our students have won the various meritorious scholarships of Shivaji University. Number of students of our college have achieved various government administrative posts through competitive examinations. In sports, the college has special recognition. Our players have reached at national level in sports. In cultural activities also our students have reached to the admirable role.

At present college offers 16 undergraduate courses in regular mode, 10 UG and 04 PG courses in distance mode through YCMOU, Nashik (Maharashtra). The college is with UGC 2(f) and 12 (B) recognition. It has prominent facilities like well-equipped laboratories, ICT facility, Central Library with complete digitization and automation. Late Principal Pednekar Ladies Facility Center, Indoor sports complex, Swimming pool, ground with 400 mtrs. track, Boys and Savitribai Phule Girls hostels, staff. From June 2022 Shivaji University has granted us to start regular PG units of M. A. (Political Science) and M. Sc. (Chemistry) in our campus. We desire to start more regular PG courses in our college.
