About Department
The foundation of Bhogawati Sugar Factorv in 1957 brought a revolutionary
changes in the region of Bhogawati Basin. Bhogawati Sugar Factory founded a
leading educational institute named Bhogawati Shikshan Prasarak Mandal at
Shahunagar(Parite),The institution established with the opening of Bhogawati
Highschool at Shahunagar. In 1971 Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya established at
Kurukali. The college opened with multi-faculty facility viz Arts, Commerce and
Science. The Department of English started with the opening of the college in 1971.
Initially, at UG level the department facilitated with compulsory, optional and special
with linguistics. Moreover, post graduate department ran success fully for l6 years
from 1989 to 2005.
Vision and Mission : The Department of English started with the new challenge to inculcate the
knowledge
in the students in the rural and hilly area. As the college established with the motto,
